    This job is for our corporate office in Westlake Village, California and is not a remote, work from home position.  Compensation range is $35,360 - $41,600/year.


    This role represents an entry-level operations opportunity with potential to move into a Sales or Marketing role.  A typical day would include fielding/following up with approximately 10-15 new inbound leads a day (via phone, chat and web) as well as fielding lead assignment requests from Sales Management.  As a secondary responsibility, this position will include several sales enablement and revenue generating projects.  The Sales Operations Associate will be expected to work well in a team environment and will need to rely on critical thinking, communication, and a strong sense of urgency in order to perform the job at the expected level.


    The overall purpose of the Sales Operations Associate is to assist the Sales Operations Manager by maintaining a working relationship between sales, marketing, and support teams at CallSource. This will be accomplished by performing three primary functions:


    1. Primary Responsibility:  Provide lead management (coverage, qualification, and assignment) across all sales units
    2. Secondary Responsibility:  Improve Sales Cycle Inefficiencies
    3. Secondary Responsibility:  Create and maintain Sales Operation and Enablement tools (job-aides, how-to guides, and standard operating procedures)

    The Sales Operations Associate knows that data and analytics are the most powerful decision-making tools for an effective sales process, so it is crucial to their success that they keep accurate records and lead by example for all Sales team members. Providing this internal insight will help all sales units at CallSource maintain a competitive edge, enhance sales force effectiveness, and achieve consistent, sustainable sales success.

    Responsibilities & Skills

    The following duties and responsibilities represent the essential functions of the Sales Operations Associate.  A staff member may be required to perform additional duties on a periodic or more frequent basis.


    Provide LeadPhone Coverage Across all Sales Units (Primary Responsibility)

    • Provide LeadPhone coverage for fielding, qualifying, and assigning inbound marketing leads across all sales units at CallSource, including marketing qualified leads (MQL’s) from various automated campaigns.
    • Take initiative to ensure that all inbound phone calls and untouched (new) web leads are handled with a sense of urgency (number one priority)
    • Ensure all sales correspondence is clean, accurate, and up to date in Salesforce CRM
    • Learn and practice qualifying strategies for different products of interest across several different industries
    • Understand and follow all lead assignment rules for each sales unit, including the industries that CallSource no longer works with
    • Understand and follow lead distribution rules and round-robin rotation
    • Establish a clear line of communication with members of the sales team to whom leads are assigned
    • Reassignment of leads that are not followed up on within 24 hours

    Improve Sales Cycle Efficiencies (Secondary Responsibility)

    • Develop internal relationships with various departments to create synergies, efficiency and the structure to support sales, marketing and client retention
    • Become an expert with sales functions in Salesforce CRM and where to locate metrics that are tracked and corresponding reporting
    • Work closely with Sales Operations Manager to detect and report potential “red flags”, inefficiencies, and deviations from current sales practices in Salesforce CRM in order to assist in changing course

    Create/Maintain Sales Operations and Enablement Tools (Secondary Responsibility)

    • With instruction from the Sales Operations Manager, identify areas in which processes can be standardized to help sales-related functions on a company-wide level, including (but not limited to) the creation of:
      • Step-by-step job aides, one-sheets, short “how-to” guides
      • Tables, graphs, charts to display important data
      • Standard Operating Procedures around new initiatives and products
      • Generate ideas for new contests and incentives based on metrics
      • Understand the Salesforce-Hoopla relationship and help identify bottlenecks
    • Familiarize oneself with the following technologies:
      • Salesforce
      • SalesVue
      • Hoopla

    Education, Training & Physical Requirements


    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Business related role (i.e. Sales, Marketing, or Consultative role)
    • Salesforce CRM knowledge a plus



    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business Management, International Business, or other related fields preferred, or equivalent work experience
